As we hurtle toward an electrified automotive future, Volvo has churned out a stunning crossover that delivers both performance and luxury in spades. Here at DeMontrond Volvo, we're fascinated by the future of electric vehicles and the Swedish automaker's role in it all.  In a previous blog post, we shared with you the news of Volvo replacing the body parts of an electric S80 with special, rechargeable batteries to make it more efficient and powerful.  Today, we'd like to tell you all about the brand's latest EV-related project.

Though electric vehicles are readily available, they have yet to become a "norm" for drivers. That could have something to do with its battery, which tend to bear a noticeable amount of weight. Even the next generation of lithium-ion batteries are tricky and pricy.

Needless to say, an alternative needs to be determined, so EV batteries can pack the power, and not the pounds.
